Surf ability

Your surfing ability will determine the surf experiences that are most suitable for you. If you are not sure whether your ability matches the description of one of the levels, then stay safe and select the level below.

If you end up in a lesson or a session that is above your surfing ability and you are unable to surf it, we will ask you to leave the water for safety reasons so start low, build your ability and enjoy the process!

And remember, surfing is not about pushing yourself to the limits of your ability, it’s about finding a wave that suits you and puts a smile on your face. From cruising on a longboard to getting barrelled on a high performance shortboard, you’ll find your wave at Lost Shore Surf Resort!

We have assigned a colour coding system to the different levels, making them easy to understand and remember!
